Getting there.
This walk is located on the North West Coast of England in Cumbria near to Carlisle and just off
the M6 Motorway.(Location showing M6)
By bus from Carlisle to Harraby via London Road...heading for the Golden Fleece

Wreay Woods
Wreay Woods Nature Reserve is just a small part of a once much larger woodland along The River Petterill.Tree have been felled over many years for timber and to make way for farm land.Today Cumbria Wildlife Trust manage this ancient riverside woodland.
St Mary's Church Wreay
A memorial church and mausoleum bulit in memory of Katherine Losh who lived in the village 1835. Built at the direction of her sister Sara after her travels in Italy which led to a style reminiscent of a Roman Basillica.
M6 Motorway
This is the Main access route to the walk.
In Cumbria the motorway follows
the route of the first century Roman Road throught the area.
River Petterill
The Dipper , the currents of the river hold no fear for this popular chubby bird, with its white bib and short tail, as it dives headlong into the river in search of food.
